Fellowship (2017-2018) in Social Science and Humanities conducts Jadavpur University
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for being considered for the award of SYLFF-JU Fellowship (The Ryochi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund). This fellowship is intended to financially assist young researchers of the social sciences and humanities with leadership potential.
PAY PACKAGE
A maximum of four Fellowships - for M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. are awarded every year. Orientation for writing a good research proposal under the SYLFF-JU programme will be held at JU campus on September 14.09.2016 at Anita Banerjee Memorial Hall, UG Arts Building at 1:40pm. Participation in this orientation workshop is open to all students.
1. A one year fellowship of US $ 1800 for M.A. and one year fellowship of US $ 2,800 for M.Phil. are offered. Both the M.A. and M.Phil. applicants must be enrolled as first year students, in the year 2016-2017 under any department of the Faculty of Arts, and School of Womens Studies, Cognitive Science, Languages and Linguistics, International Relations and Strategic Studies, Cultural Text and Records, Media Communication and Culture under Faculty of ISLM of Jadavpur University.
2. For three year fellowship (all inclusive of US $7,200+7,800+8,400) for Ph.D. aspirants
Fellowship will be paid monthly in Indian rupees; the value determined by the exchange rate prevailing as on date of payment.

Completed application form must be sent to Prof. Joyashree Roy, SYLFF Project Director, Department of Economics, JU, Kolkata-32 by November 28th, 2016 accompanied by DD ofRs. 200/-. Demand drafts need to be drawn in favour of "JU-SYLFF-ADMIN" payable at Kolkata.
