JNCASR Visiting Fellowship Programme in India, 2016 -2017

INTRODUCTION

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is offering visiting fellowship programme for the academic year 2016 -2017. These fellowships will be awarded to research scientists working in educational institutions and R&D laboratories in India. The scope of JNCASR is to foster collaborations with the Centres faculty and to provide research opportunities, the Centre offers Visiting Fellowships to research scientists working in educational institutions and R&D laboratories in India. Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute situated in Jakkur, a locality north of Bangalore, India. It is relatively young yet well-known around the Globe. The Centre is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and is a deemed university.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Research scientists or engineers with a Ph.D., who have permanent positions in educational institutions or R&D laboratories are invited to apply. Individuals who have applied for or utilized this Visiting Fellowship Programme earlier need not apply.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Fellowships are available for pursuing research programme which will be carried out at the host institution. Fellowships are awarded in the field of Life Sciences (including molecular and developmental biology, chronobiology, genetics, ecology, behavior, neurobiology); Materials Sciences (including nanoscience);Chemical Sciences (including chemical biology,interfaces of chemical science with materials,solid-state chemistry, theoretical/computational chemistry, inorganic, physical and organic chemistry);Physical Sciences (including experimental and theoretical condensed-matter and materials physics, statistical physics, organic electronics and experimental nanobiotechnology); Engineering Sciences (including fluid dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, and thermal and chemical engineering); and Atmospheric Sciences.

PAY PACKAGE

The fellowship is tenable for a minimum uninterrupted period of sixty days and the maximum of 3 months and valid for one year from the date of the offer letter. The timing of the visit may be decided according to mutual convenience.The fellowship carries an honorarium of Rs 25000 per month Important Date:29/08/2016
