Description:
. University college of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, invites applications for under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme (DeitY) Govt. of India Exclusively in departments of ECE, CSE.
Fellowship details:
For Full -Time PhD Candidates:
. Fellowship @ Rs.22, 500 per month in 1st and 2nd year, and @ Rs.25, 000 per month in 3rd, 4th, 5th years of PhD programme. Annual Contingency Grant/Support: @ Rs.30,000/- per year per full time PhD candidate for consumables etc. Reimbursement of Rent (RoR):
. For full-time PhD candidates who are not provided accommodation or choose not to avail the accommodation provided by the Institution, the RoR would be on reimbursement basis, based on actual and subjects to a ceiling based on location of the Institution registering the PhD candidate.
. The ceiling would be 30%, 20% and 10% of the fellowship amount as per the Government of India norms for class X, Y or Z cities respectively. Support for attending International Conferences: Support for attending up to two renowned International Conferences for full - time PhD candidate, @ up to maximum support of Rs.50, 000/- for each International Conference would be provided.
. The total support under the scheme is for 1000 such participations fulfilling the norms defined in the scheme on first come first serve basis.
COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility:
. The candidates should have passed, For ECE: BE/B.Tech (ECE)/AMITE/IETE and ME/M.Tech. (ECE), For CSE: ME/M.Tech (CSE), Obtained a Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University securing not less than 55% marks for General Category candidates and securing not less than 50% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates.

. Filled in Application Form along with a DD for Rs 500/-( Rs 250/- In case of SC/ST) drawn in favour of the Principal, University College of Engineering(A), Osmania University payable at Hyderabad along with supporting documents as per Annexure -II is to be submitted in Principals Office, at the Main Building UCE OU.
