ONGC Announces 500 Scholarships for SC ST Students 2014

INTRODUCTION

ONGC to give 500 Scholarships for SC & ST Students in 2014 Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) announces 500 scholarships to meritorious SC/ST students worth Rs 48,000 per annum across various courses for 2014 session Out of a 500 scholarships, 50 percent seats are reserved for girl students The scholarship will be given to students Pursuing Courses in Engineering, Medicine as well as Masters Courses in Business Administration, Geology, and Geophysics Candidates can submit their applications latest by 30th September 2014

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Courses available under the scholarship 1) Engineering (4-year course): 247 scholarships with a minimum eligibility of Class 12/or 2) MBBS (4-year course): 45 scholarships with a minimum eligibility of Class 12/or equivalent 3) MBA (2-year course): 73 scholarships with a minimum eligibility of graduation degree or equivalent 4) Masters in Geology/Geophysics (2-year course): 135 scholarships with a minimum eligibility of graduation degree or equivalent Scholarship Amount per month: Rs.4000/- (each) *50% Scholarships are reserved for girl students

Scholarship Amount per month: Rs.4000/- (each) *50% Scholarships are reserved for girl students The scholarships are divided across five zones in India, with each zone eligible for a total of 100 scholarships Zone - 1 (North): Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh Zone - 2 (West): Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadar and Nagar Haveli Zone - 3 (North East): Assam, Sikkim, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura Zone - 4 (East): Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal Zone - 5 (South): Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands
