Research Fellowship - Applications invited for session 2014-2105 at National Law University, Delhi

INTRODUCTION

Applications are invited by the National law university, Delhi to fill up three positions of full-time research fellows for a six months duration, which is extendable to one year as a part of its Digital Frontiers project. After six months, the fellows are required to publish a research paper for the aforementioned project. Their tenure may be extended depending upon their work quality and contribution to the centres strategic growth.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility criteria: Applications are welcomed from candidates possessing a degree in law, public policy, management or the social sciences and those who are from other disciplines, who satisfy the remainder of the eligibility requirements, may address a brief letter of inquiry to ccg@nludelhi.ac.in, in order to determine their suitability.

How to apply: Candidates may send the documents - Curriculum vitae, details of two references, an academic writing sample of 2000-2500 words and a 750 word outline for a research paper that the candidate proposes to produce over the course of the Fellowship, reflecting literature review - to the Registrar, National Law University, Delhi at registrar@nludelhi.ac.in. PAY PACKAGE

The fellowship covers three broad areas namely Civil liberties, Privacy, Surveillance and Big data and Internet governance. It is a full-time course of a one or two years duration, which would be based out of the centres offices at the National Law University, Delhi. The fellowship is basically to build up competence and raise the quality of discourse in research and policy around issues concerning civil liberties and the internet in India
