NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Ltd.s education scholarship portal, Vidyasaarathi has associated with H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd. (HG Infra), a leading player in the infrastructure sector, to provide scholarships to meritorious students.

Deserving students at these locations who are pursuing courses like Diploma, ITI, B.E./ B.Tech, B.Ed., Nursing, Medical, and other undergraduate courses, will be benefitted from this scholarship program.

Amid the pandemic, students from Tier-II and Tier-III cities have found it difficult to continue their education due to high-fees structure which is holding them back from acquiring higher education. HG Infra along with Vidyasaarathi aims to make education more accessible to these students.

Vidyasaarathi, as a HG Infra collaborator, has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the entire scholarship lifecycle - including validation of the application, award of scholarship, disbursement of funds, etc. The new scholarship program will now allow the students from various states like Rajasthan, Haryana, etc. to pursue their dreams and give an impetus to their zeal for education.

Vidyasaarathi is a technology-enabled initiative by NSDL e-Gov which enables underprivileged students to procure financial assistance via corporate-funded scholarships. It aims to bridge the gap in education finance in the country through an online platform. Students can search and apply to various education finance schemes provided on merit by fund providers, industries, and corporates. Ever since its inception, Vidyasaarathi has received tremendous response from the student community. More than 10 lakh students have registered on the Vidyasaarathi portal and more than 30 corporates have collaborated so far. Renowned names from the corporate world like TATA Housing, ACC Trust, TransUnion CIBIL, Alkem Laboratories, Primavera Bosch, JSW Foundation, Claris Lifesciences, etc. have associated already for supporting student education through Vidyasaarathi.
