About Central Pollution Control Board:
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), statutory organisation, was constituted in September, 1974 under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Further, CPCB was entrusted with the powers and functions under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Management or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental/ Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute.

How to Apply:
i.Only persons of Indian origin need to apply.
ii. Application should be sent in neatly hand-written or typed out in A-4 size paper in the
prescribed format enclosing therewith the self-attested photo copies of the
educational/technical qualifications and experience.
iii. Applications unsigned or without the name of the post applied for or incomplete in any
respect or received after the last date will not be considered.
iv. Selection will be on the basis of interview. Canvassing in any form will be a
disqualification.
v. If, at any stage, it is discovered that an attempt has been made by the applicant to
wilfully conceal or misrepresent the facts, the candidature of the applicant will be
summarily rejected.
vi. Original documents of educational/technical qualifications and experience shall be
produced by the applicant as and when required.
vii. No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
