About Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development:
The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, government of India. RGNIYD was set up in 1993 under the Societies Registration Act.
The Institute offers academic programmes at postgraduate level in youth development, engages in research in youth development, and coordinates training programmes for state agencies and the officials of youth organisations.
Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development functions as a think-tank of the Ministry and an organization of youth-related activities. As the apex institute at the national level, it works in cooperation with the NSS, NYKS and other youth organizations in the implementation of training programmes.

Educational Qualification:
Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Humanities/social sciences/management sciences/Law from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
