Rajasthan will conduct a Feasibility Study of Potash Solution Mining:

A tripartite agreement has been signed by Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL), Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Limited (RSMML), and the Department of Mines & Geology (DMG). The government of Rajasthan is accountable for the Potash Solution Mining feasibility analysis in Rajasthan.
 
Highlights:
♦ Nagaur-Ganganagar Basin has an immense wealth of 50,000 square kilometers of Potash and Halite in the northwest of Rajasthan.
♦ For underground oil storage, hydrogen, ammonia and helium gas repositories, compressed gas and radioactive waste storage, Stratified Salt formations may be strategically used.
♦ Potash & Sodium Chloride from Bedded Salt is commonly used in both the fertilizer and chemical industries.
♦ Pave the way for the First Solution Mining Project in the country that will build jobs.
 
Gender Park Will Open Next Month in Kerala:
 
The Park of Gender will open next month in Kozhikode, Kerala. On the occasion of the Second International Conference on Gender Equality, the park will open (ICGE-II).
 
Highlights:
♦ The park will be unveiled by Kerala`s Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, from 11 to 13 February, to mark the launch of the second edition of ICGE-II.
♦ On this occasion, a cornerstone will also be laid for the International Women`s Trade and Research Center (IWTRC).
♦ IWTRC will be developed with the objective of providing women entrepreneurs with a healthy and sustainable ecosystem. It will also provide space for women to sell goods.
♦ ICGE is Gender Park`s project. The second edition of the conference, which aims to discuss steps to increase the economic capacity of women and of transgender people, will be unveiled. This will help them become entrepreneurs who are sustainable.
♦ The theme of the conference is: "Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Gender Issues in Social Business: The Mediating Role of Empowerment" In collaboration with UN Women, the conference event will be coordinated.
♦ A Gender Park was founded by the Government of Kerala in 2013. This is an initiative in Kerala designed to encourage gender equality and empowerment. The project`s headquarters are based in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. The main campus, however, is situated in Kozhikode, Silver Mountain. An region of 24 acres surrounds the campus.
♦ Gender equity is the major focus of the park. An forum for policy analysis, research, capacity building, advocacy, economic and social initiatives will be created by the platform. The park will be run by the Department of Social Justice. Such a room is the first of its kind in the world.
♦ The goal of setting up a gender park is to develop effective approaches to resolve a variety of gender-based issues. This encompasses off-campus and on-campus operations as well as other programs aimed at developing personal and community skills.
