About Pune Municipal Corporation:
To overcome the traffic congestion in the city of Pune, a high-capacity rapid circular route (HCMTR) will be constructed for a 3 km circular route through the city limits. Of the six lanes on this road, two lanes in the center will be for BRT and the remaining four lanes will be for motor and other heavy vehicles. To be constructed in an elevated manner, on this 5 meter wide road, 3 stations will be set up for BRT and this road will also be connected to metro routes. The entire project is worth six thousand crores. Global tenders of this project have been released.
