About NEET- PG Exam

NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate) is the eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma courses offered by all medical colleges under the realm of “Post Graduate Medical Regulations 2000” (as amended) notified by the Medical Council of India (MCI) with prior approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Pattern of NEET - PG

 

  • NEET-PG is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses in medical institutions recognized for running these courses under the ambit of Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations. NEET PG will be a computer based test (CBT).
  • NEET-PG will comprise of 240 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English language only.
  • The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network as per scheme prescribed.
  • Kindly note that the weightage of MCQ’s is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter /vary /amend the same.
  • Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking in NEET-PG.

 

Syllabus: 

The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India.

 The syllabus of the above topics for NEET PG shall be as per the latest Graduate Medical Education Regulations notified by the Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt. of India.

The NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) at test centres located in 33 cities across the country.

Applying Procedure:

Candidate need to register and apply online for NEET PG 2013. The NEET-PG application form will be available online from the 1st week of October . Once the link is active, you can also choose your examination centre, date and time through the online registration & scheduling system. Availability of test centre option is on a first come first served basis, and candidates will only be shown sessions that are available at the point of scheduling. 

The Online registration starts on mid of the November and ends on last week of November.

Exam fee woulb be below 3000 for reservations and 4000 for General category. 

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Post Graduate courses (NEET-PG).
